After 40 years of successful productions under the Waterbeach Community Players banner, in 2018 the group gave itself a new identity as Waterbeach Theatre Company. We pride ourselves on a deep commitment to staging shows of the highest quality, at the same time as having fun!

We stage our productions in Waterbeach Primary School, which has good theatrical facilities and is a friendly venue. The Spring and Autumn shows have table seating, with 6 people to a table and a bar selling wine and soft drinks, making for a very convivial evening. The ever-popular pantomime has more traditional seating in rows, and soft drinks and teas and coffees are available during the interval. Seats for all shows are numbered and can be booked in advance either online or on the phone, so it's worth booking early and getting the best seats! We also put on a Festival production each year: this is a one-act play which we perform in Sawston and Cambridge, and which is judged by a professional adjudicator, and we have won many awards over the years.

For members, we have a social calendar throught the year, including a quiz night, summer barbecue, play-readings and parties, and the Sun Inn nearby provides an excellent retreat at the end of a rehearsal. We rehearse on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30, with a production run in Spring and Autumn of 4 nights (Wednesday-Saturday), and 3 nights and a matinee for the Panto (Thursday-Saturday). We are delighted to welcome new joiners at any time, in any capacity, and auditions are entirely open.
